We took part in an attempt today to get in the Guinness Book of Records! Our children joined thousands of others from all over the country and danced for five minutes, to celebrate to arrival of the Olympic torch. Lots of fun, as you can see from these photos!
Many thanks to Miss Buffel for coordinating all this and well done children for practising so hard.
Children from our school visited Walton Manor Care Home to help them celebrate their 20th anniversary. The children sang many old time music hall songs before finally presenting the residents with a card, some flowers and a lovely cake. Here are some photos of the visit:
A wonderful time was had by all. Well done children!
This term Year 5 have been learning about India. This week they have been making bookmarks to raise money for the poorer villages in India. The bookmarks go on sale tomorrow (18th May 2012) and cost 20p each. Money raised from the sale of the bookmarks will be split between Action Aid who raise money for villages in India, and our schools Toilet Twinning scheme.
Recently, our wonderful choir went to Walton Manor to perform for the people who live there. They liked the choir and the children so much, they’ve asked them back to perform for their 20th birthday celebrations. How good is that?
